Bandon TPREP Implementation Project
Bandon TPREP Implementation Project
Bandon TPREP (Transportation Public Realm Enhancement Plan) is a major initiative aimed at revitalising Bandon town centre through a comprehensive upgrade of streetscapes, public spaces, and infrastructure. The project will deliver improved footpaths, enhanced public areas, and extensive landscaping to create a safer, more attractive environment for pedestrians and cyclists—while supporting increased footfall and commercial vibrancy in the heart of the town.
The works will span from St. Peter’s Church at Ballymodan Place to the junction at St. Finbarr’s Place, and will include:
Installation of a new distribution watermain and associated service connections
Upgraded drainage systems and diversion of underground utilities
Widened footpaths and a realigned carriageway finished in natural stone
Enhanced public lighting and new pedestrian crossings
Hard and soft landscaping, including tree planting, seating, and bicycle parking
Cork County Council has appointed local contractor ODCE as the Main Contractor for Phases 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the Bandon TPREP Implementation Project.
